United States. On April 17, Ashrae will present the Webcast "Buildings in Balance: Indoor Environmental Quality and Energy Efficiency" which will take place between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).
"The webcast will identify the link between energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality (IEQ) through the integrated design process," said Andy Cochrane, chair of the Ashrae Chapter's Technology Transfer Committee.
In the Webcast, participants will be able to recognize the importance of the four pillars of IEQ and explain how system selection can benefit energy efficiency and IEQ. Presenters will describe best practices for outcome measurement protocols and explain the role of post-occupancy assessment adjusted to the operation of the building. Viewers will also learn about the common design, and the difficulties in commissioning and operating IEQ. 'Buildings in Balance' will describe how energy efficiency can be achieved without compromising the IEQ.
The presenters of the webinar are as follows:
- William P. "Bill" Bahnfleth, Ph.D., P.E., President of Ashrae.
James W. Bochat, President of Commissioning Concepts.
- Tim McGinn, P.Eng., Ashrae Certified Professional in High Performance Building Design.
Jerry M. Sipes, Ph.D., P.E., Vice President of Engineering, Price Industries, Inc.,
