International. The multinational refrigerant compressor company Bitzer is already taking over the refrigeration section of trucks and trailers of the privately owned Finnish company Lumikko Oy.
Lumikko is a specialist in refrigeration facilities in the field of transport. "With the takeover we got the foundation to establish ourselves in the market as a supplier of systems for the refrigeration of trucks and trailers," said Mr. Michael Bauer, head of sales and marketing officer at Bitzer.
As part of the transaction, the compressor manufacturer acquires all the shares in the refrigerated transport section and takes over 20 workers. Helmut Meyer, Sales Director of Bitzer's Transport Division commented: "The grouping of our services clearly positions us as a system supplier. With intelligent solutions from a single supplier we achieve lower life cycle costs, maximum energy efficiency and reliability. We want to gain prestige in front of all trailer and body suppliers around the world."
