Argentina. A recent controversy is occurring among the supermarket chains of that nation due to an alleged breach in the rules of cold, hygiene and health.
The big chains denounced the Chinese supermarkets on this matter, to which the Federation of Chinese Supermarkets and Associations in the Argentine Republic responded by claiming that it is due to a discrediting move due to the "success of Chinese businesses" in its more than 10,000 stores located throughout the country.
The federation said that it is the large chains "that fail to comply with the rules and this is reflected in the number of fines that municipalities and control bodies issue in hypermarkets."
The Chinese also say that since 2011 they control the cold chain by means of thermographs where they store the results to monitor and evaluate the performance of the equipment.
Supermarkets demand greater control measures to prevent unfair competition.
