Enhancements to Mitsubishi Electric's R2 and Y series variable flow refrigerant (VRF) zoning units for cooling and heating systems seek to benefit consumers by having complete zone control, flexibility and ease of installation.
These outdoor units are ideal for a variety of commercial applications. Marc Zipfel, director of product marketing at Mitsubishi Electric Cooling & Heating, explains that these devices also offer a smaller size and a great efficiency.
The R2 (PURY) and Y (PUHY) series units feature the company's Inverter-driven compressor technology, as well as using intelligent controls to achieve superior operation.
The R2 series equipment is only two piping systems that offer cooling and heating simultaneously. This model includes cooling and heating to 14 degrees Fahrenheit under ambient conditions, quiet operation: 58-64 dB (A); extended set point range.
For its part, the Y series has cooling or heating of up to 50 zones through an outdoor unit, silent operation: 58-65 dB (A), cooling to less than 10 degrees Fahrenheit with the optional kit of low ambient temperature, length of the tube extended up to 98 feet of vertical height between the indoor units.
Both series can be connected using the G-50A/GB50A controllers and monitored via the MULTI Controls city network.
