Argentina. Around 120,000 residential and commercial air conditioning systems were sold in the province of Rosario during the summer of 2012, according to the head of the Chamber of Commerce of Household Goods of Rosario, Hernán Calatayud.
In an interview with the web portal Impulso, the official said that the commercialization of these equipment registered the highest sales at the beginning of this season, especially for the systems of 3,000 and 6,000 refrigerators. One of the factors for which these sales were recorded is due to the ease of acquiring the products through credit cards.
According to Calatayud, "since air conditioners began to be massively marketed, ten years ago, the numbers have been even throughout the country. For this year, around 120,000 pieces of equipment will be sold annually."
The market for commercial premises continues to grow thanks to the growing demand for equipment from 6,000 refrigerators, special for this market. "When this model is sold a lot, it is a reference to make a measurement, and it can be said that more small stores are opening," he concluded.
