USA. The Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) has obtained accreditation from the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in the development of industry standards. "ANSI accreditation adds value to our standards development process by confirming that our procedures meet ANSI's core requirements in openness, balance, consensus and due process," said AHRI President Stephen Yurek. To maintain such accreditation, the institute must consistently adhere to a rigorous set of requirements and procedures.
The recognition not only ensures the credibility and competence of regulatory programs within and outside the United States, but also "reinforces the integrity of AHRI's industrial certification programs and enhances consumer confidence in the performance of heating equipment and components, commercial cooling and refrigeration at home and abroad," the president added.
