On April 2 and 3, the Green Intelligent Building Conference was held in Baltimore, Meryland. During this event, owners, investors, engineers and technicians in the real estate sector were informed about the latest in green construction and energy efficiency management. The conference was convened, to a greater extent, with the aim of training the personnel of the sector in the concepts and how to assume the impact that the new Energy Security and Independence Act, approved last year by the President of the United States George Bush, will have.
The law approved in December 2007 directly impacts markets such as building integration systems, HVAC-R, automation, lighting among others.
After the presentation of the implications and impact that the law will have on the sector, a whole series of workshops and seminars were held there where attendees received training on market sustainability and smart building projects, also, on how to contribute to identify better opportunities for the client, among other important issues.
In addition to the conferences, on Tuesday, April 1, LonMark International held its annual board meeting and offered a full day of training on the topics of the LonMark Professional Certificate, which was given to all applicants the following day.
