[USA] Four technical programs for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration have earned national accreditation through a PAHRA (Partnership for Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Accreditation) accreditation program. The new accredited programs belong to the following institutions: Mount San Antonio College, California; Oakton Community College, Illinois; Community College of Southern Nevada and Gwinnett Technical College, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The PAHRA program is supported by ARI, ASHRAE and other U.S. societies such as ACCA and CARE. PAHRA accreditation certifies that these institutions' HVACR programs have exceeded the national standard of excellence for HVACR education in the areas of air conditioning, residential heating, and commercial refrigeration. These programs are evaluated based on industry-established standards such as curriculum quality, instructions, students, faculty, and the building in which they are taught.
