Spain. The Spanish Technical Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Atecyr) confirmed Miguel Ángel Llopis as its new president, replacing Juan José Quixano, whose presidency ended at the General Assembly held on June 1.
The new president, who previously held the position of vice president, will continue the implementation of Atecyr's strategic plan 2016-2020. The main axes of the plan include integrating the new generations into the association, increasing global participation and connectivity and increasing the value proposition to the associate, with the active collaboration of the Technical Committee and the territorial groupings.
These strategic lines aim to make the Atecyr of the future a very interactive Atecyr, placing the partner at the center and positioning the association as a reference beyond our borders. For this it will be necessary to work in collaboration with all the agents of the sector, professionals, associations, universities, training centers, and of course with the Administration.
The candidacy of Miguel Ángel Llopis was received with enthusiasm and has the confidence of all associates and governing bodies, presenting more than double the guarantees necessary to prosper as governed by the statutes.
In the words of the new president: "Our vision is to position ourselves as the leading organization in excellence in the sectors of air conditioning, refrigeration and energy efficiency in the environment of Ibero-American countries, contributing to raise the level of quality of the sector through the knowledge and training of its technicians; integrating the new generations, delving into the digital world and being opinion leaders in front of the Public Administrations and society in general".
