Panama. The new members of the board of directors of the Panama Pacifico Agency and the board of directors of Mercados Nacionales de la Cadena de Frío, S.A., were ratified by the plenary session of the National Assembly.
The appointees in the Panama Pacifico Agency are Marietta Jaén, representing the Executive Branch; José Luis Moreno, on behalf of the Association of Companies of the Panama-Pacific Area; Ricardo De La Guardia, from the business sector; Genaro López, from the labor sector, and María Ford Rodgers de Cohen, from the Association of Users of the Colon Free Zone.
Likewise, Mr. Eduardo Enrique Carles was ratified by the plenary, representing the Ministry of Agricultural Development before the board of directors of Mercados Nacionales de la Cadena de Frío, S.A.
Moreno, of the Panama Pacific Agency, pledged to make all the necessary efforts so that this area in Panama continues to grow. He said that currently this agency has more than 8,500 jobs and there is only 25% development.
The Panama Pacific Area is a project that contemplates the development of an international business center, to attract multinational companies, logistics services, various businesses and industries in general. The main objective of this economic area is to attract foreign direct investment and generate jobs in the Central American country.
