We cannot tire of repeating it, underlining it and remembering it every day: training is a necessity of all members of the industry and therefore, it is the responsibility of each one to fight for the massification of this type of spaces in Latin America.
I know the efforts of several associations that throughout the year try to generate educational spaces for their members; many companies also lead this kind of alternatives by inviting all their customers to participate in talks presented by experts. But it is never enough, because education in our sector must be a priority.
We at ACR LATINOAMÉRICA generate content that is beneficial for readers, that helps them in their daily tasks and that solves their technical concerns and then they offer a better service. In addition, we celebrate in RefriAméricas (this year in Panama June 4 and 5) the opportunity to have the best speakers in the region to learn about the latest trends in HVAC / R. All this with the aim of contributing our grain of sand to education, fulfilling our communicative work.
But there are several issues that concern me and that I question: Is there enough interest of technicians in training? How prepared are you to face the new challenges that the latest technologies bring?
I ask the above, because I have witnessed that on many occasions the amount of public that is expected to attend some training spaces has not been enough, or there are very few questions that are generated from a talk. What can it be? Disinterest, ignorance?
I dream of seeing all the conference and training rooms full of technicians, hungry for knowledge, more participatory and more interested in learning. I congratulate those who already do so, and invite them to encourage their colleagues. Remember that this industry depends on what each and every one of us does.
