Colombia. Both attendees, exhibitors and speakers showed their great satisfaction with the way in which the eighth version of RefriAméricas 2011 was developed. The impressions were quite positive which ratified once again that this fair is the most important in the refrigeration industry in Latin America.
For example, French speaker Françoise Bernard, from Industrias Refridcol/Gea., commented that "it is a small fair, but it definitely has much more movement than other larger fairs in Latin America."
For his part, Guillaume Klein, from Flexelec -Projectcol S.A.S. from France, who for the first time participated as a speaker, highlighted the attention of the audience. "I really liked the attention of the people and especially the interesting questions. This attention is very valuable for me since it is the first time I have participated in a congress of this type and the opportunity to have a good number of audiences is very satisfying."
In the same way, the exhibitors participating in the commercial exhibition showed their satisfaction with the quality of the public that attended the fair, highlighting their professionalism and knowledge regarding the subject: "It is the first time that we act in RefriAméricas as exhibitors and we are really very happy. In previous years I was a visitor and I could say that this version has shown really important advances especially because of the type of public that visited it, "said Héctor Torres, commercial manager of Industrias Refridcol, a company present at the commercial exhibition.
Likewise, one of the attendees of the academic program and commercial exhibition highlighted the importance of a congress such as RefriAméricas for the sector: "With this type of events the opportunity to expand knowledge and find new technological alternatives that allow a better development of the industry and at the same time improve its competitiveness is opened. From the fair I rescue having found ecological alternatives that are not very established in America, with respect to Europe, "said Juan Sebastián Martínez, plant manager of Colombina Helados.
Now, regarding the technologies he knew, Martínez added that "it is important to find preventive maintenance methodologies to avoid unproductive times in the machines, which is where the impact on the production processes is really felt."
