The National Energy Commission (CNE) calculates that the amount of the collection rights of the electricity companies that can be included in the Electricity Debt Amortization Fund (Fade) for their placement on the market amount to 16,694 million euros.
This amount is part of the tariff deficit of the electricity system that the companies have been financing since 2000 and corresponds to the rights pending collection until the end of 2010, as well as those that occur 'ex ante' during the year 2011.
This electricity liability is being placed in the markets by fade with the aim of converting into negotiable securities a debt that until now had to be financed by the electricity companies. Electricity consumers must repay this debt in fifteen years through the electricity tariff.
On the other hand, the board of directors of the CNE has agreed at its first meeting of the year to send to the Ministry of Industry the calculation of the amount of the item that this year have had to dedicate the consumers of light to compensate for the nuclear moratorium. During 2010, the item amounted to 423 million euros.
Also today the body chaired by María Teresa Costa has approved the settlement of premiums for renewables during the month of December, in which 571 million were dedicated to remunerate the special regime --renewables plus cogeneration--.
In this settlement, in which the electricity generated in November has been remunerated, it can be seen that during this month renewables contributed 23% of electricity, thanks mainly to 18% of wind and 2.4% of hydraulics. Photovoltaics barely contributed 1.6%. (EUROPA PRESS)
