Mexico. One of the 15 refrigerant recycling centers authorized by the National Government and endorsed by the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) is already in operation.
The new center operates in the north of the state of Sinaloa and has the power to operate all refrigerant gases that come from anywhere in Mexico. The general director of RCH Recicladores commented for the newspaper El Debate that this initiative is in favor of nature, in view of the fact that refrigerant gas is wasted and released into the environment.
The new center has the technology to clean the impurities of the refrigerant gas from equipment that is no longer used and then market it for reuse at a price of 50% lower. This center is currently receiving 500 kilos of refrigerant per month to be processed.
