International. LG Electronics unveiled its new Advanced Residential Air Conditioner (RAC), which uses ultrasound wave technology to repel mosquitoes.
Aimed at the African market and known as the LG "Anti-Mosquito", the brand indicated that tests were carried out in a closed room to deter 82% of the mosquitoes that are there in 24 hours, for an average of 64% in Anopheles-type females, carriers of malaria.
The air conditioner also comes with powerful cooling supply and reliability even under extreme operating temperatures, plus a reinforced air filter, a compressor for wet and very hot temperatures, and an electrical system that protects it against blackouts and surges in energy.
