United States. President Barack Obama's administration announced on June 26 that 36 new members have joined the Better Buildings Challenge initiative.
Administrations and local districts and states such as Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts and North Carolina will be easier to receive budget of the more than US$2 billion available for project financing programs through qualified energy-saving bonds.
This initiative is led by Bill Clinton and the Presidential Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and has the goal of achieving that U.S. buildings reach 20% more efficiency in the next decade, which will mean US $ 40,000 million in cost reduction.
