Salmonella bacteria are widely produced around the world. Its pathogenesis varies depending on the species and the susceptibility of the host.
The natural hosts of salmonella are humans, agricultural and domestic livestock, and wild animals, including birds, so it is impossible to remove bacteria from the environment. Salmonella can be present in all types of domestic and agricultural wastewater, fresh water, including groundwater and drinking water, as well as seawater.
