The twenty-second International Congress of Refrigeration (IIR International Congress of Refrigeration), ICR 2007, which was held in Beijing last August, was a great success as endorsed by its organizers. 1308 participants from 55 countries attended this event, during which 876 research in refrigeration technologies presented by its applicants were revealed. Eleven technical tours and five courses were also held that allowed participants to get to know the regions surrounding Beijing.
Among the main topics discussed and that aroused the greatest interest were the importance of the refrigeration of the future, new developments in natural refrigerants with a focus on CO2, expansion of energy efficiencies and new trends in air conditioning. In addition to the congress, the mandatory meeting of the IRR was held, and the General Conference, which attracted representatives from 61 IRR countries.
