International. The Keyter Intarcon Genaqgroup, began the construction of a new manufacturing center, in Lucena (Córdoba), which is expected to generate 600 additional direct jobs from its start-up until 2025.
On February 3, the act of laying the first stone of the new facilities of the Keyter Intarcon Genaq Group took place. An event that was attended by institutional representatives at regional and local level, including Aurelio García, President of the Keyter Intarcon Genaq Group; José María Raya, CEO of Intarcon; Antonio Blanco, CEO of Keyter; Francisco Javier Ramírez, Director of the Andalusian Energy Agency; Manuel Larrasa, Secretary General of Energy; and Juan Pérez, Mayor of Lucena
This project will have an investment of more than 30 million euros. And it highlights that it will have on the roof a photovoltaic solar plant with an expected peak power of 1800 kW, which will mean an estimated saving of 1600MWh, which is approximately 70% of the consumption that the plant will have, reducing its carbon footprint.
Location
The land acquired for the project is close to the future Autovía del Olivar, which will constitute a transversal axis in the interior of Andalusia as it will communicate directly with six other high-capacity roads, from the A-92 motorway at the height of Estepa to the future A-32 motorway from Linares to Albacete by Úbe., and will also have a connection to the Malaga motorway.
In terms of size, the new factory will have two phases of execution. In the first phase, 40,000 m2 of factories and offices will be built. While the second phase, 30,000 m2 of factory area will be expanded, to reach a total area of 70,000 m2.
A relevant fact that 4,000 m2 of the construction will be allocated to areas destined to design, engineering, administration, services for employees and research of new refrigeration and air conditioning technologies.
Other details of the new headquarters
According to an official statement the group explains that they are working at the maximum capacity of their current facilities with a production divided into 25 warehouses in the Los Santos de Lucena Industrial Estate.
This was what led them to the acquisition of land in the rural estate "El Horcajo" near the hamlet of Las Navas del Selpillar, also in the municipality of Lucena (Córdoba).

Finally, the start-up of these new facilities will generate more than 1200 direct jobs in 2025, in addition to making the Keyter Intarcon Genaq group have the most modern air conditioning, cooling and atmospheric water generation equipment manufacturing facilities in Europe.
