FEMSA Installs Indoor Air Quality Technology at Coca Cola's Sustainable Plant

Femsa Coca Cola

Argentina. FEMSA, owner of the Coca Cola brand, inaugurated its factory in Buenos Aires, located in the industrial center of Ezeiza, being the first sustainable building in the country and the first industrial building to obtain LEED GOLD certification in Argentina.

To ensure certification, the company maintained a policy of high indoor air quality with sustainable equipment, installing RGF Environmental's Halo LED units through Kron Electronics, Dannenge International's business partner in Argentina.

With the sustainable measures implemented in this project, Halo LED promotes the decontamination of the air through photocatalysis, fighting viruses (including Covid-19), bacteria, odors and molds, guaranteeing the improvement of indoor air quality, in addition to being free of ozone and mercury, certified by Intertek Sustainability (zero ozone) with the highest quality standards, safety and environment.

"Given the need to purify the air in the changing rooms, cafeterias and offices of the factory staff, with emphasis on the elimination of the COVID-19 virus and following the sustainability policy, we install Halo LED units actively decontaminating the air in enclosed spaces, avoiding contagion among employees, preserving the health of employees and collaborators, contributing to the achievement of international quality certifications for the company", informs Adrián Munin, director of Kron Electronics.

Designed by ASZ Arquitectos and built by Constructora Sudamericana, Coca Cola was advised by Green Group for LEED GOLD certification. The plant also achieved a 30% savings in energy consumption compared to the American efficiency standard of Ashrae 90.1.
Dannenge International and Kron Electronics celebrate another sustainable, certified project, contributing to the environment!
