Latin America. To meet the demand with the exponential increase of the Ômicron variant, RGF Environmental revealed that it has tripled its workforce for the production of air purifiers with PHI (photocatalysis) technology.
The production team began 2022 by manufacturing the HALO ROVE, active air purification system, indicated to reinforce biosecurity and improve indoor air quality, the commercial active air purification system uses patented photohydroionization technology (PHI CELL) to substantially reduce bacteria, viruses, odors, mold and VOCs in the air and on the surface.
Portable and autonomous, the halo ROVE active air purification system is capable of treating up to 1,000 m², keeping the air unpolluted and favoring the improvement of indoor air quality.
Photohydroionization (PHI) is an active air treatment technology through the process of reducing air and surface pollutants, recreating natural and safe levels of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in occupied areas. RGF's patented PHI-CELL technology combines a photocatalytic process and a long-lasting ultraviolet light source to create active air purification. The combination of ultraviolet light and a hydrated quadruple metal catalyst causes a reaction that produces low levels of H2O2.
Tests show a significant reduction in viruses, bacteria, mold and odors within a few minutes of operation, resulting in clean and safe air within the treated space.
In 2020, the company invested more than $2,000,000 in new equipment, including state-of-the-art high-performance fiber optic laser metal cutting and bending machines. All of them were installed in the new building and in operation in record time. RGF has also increased the capabilities of in-house laboratories to perform efficacy testing and validations in accordance with ASHRAE and other international standards. The strategy to further improve business continuity included the acquisition of additional buildings and the development of remote locations with approximately 100 technicians operating with the same advanced manufacturing technologies.
RGF active air treatment systems operate safely in more than four million facilities worldwide.
