Spain. The MediaLab team, belonging to the University of Oviedo, designed a sensor that warns with a text message about the air quality in an indoor space.
The sensor has a housing with three different zones that are illuminated with different colors depending on the CO2 particles per million particles. The data is sent to a mobile application, where the school management can monitor the status of all classrooms.
In addition to the electronics, the sensor consists of an easily mountable three-part housing: a diffuser, an electronics bracket and a rack that allows the sensor to be hung from a wall.
Installation
It only requires a nearby power outlet and the rack can be put on the wall with screws or hang easily
Readings
The sensor measures the CO2 level and illuminates three different messages depending on how much you read
Communication
The readings are sent to a mobile device of the direction of the center that monitors all the classrooms that have a sensor
Creation
MediaLab also designed tutorials so that people can create their own sensor for other classrooms.
