Systemair, certified by Eurovent for hygienic air handling units

Systemair unidad manejadora de aireInternational. Systemair announced that it now offers a Eurovent-certified performance option for "Hygienic Air Handling Units" (HAHU) as a new feature on all Geniox Air Handling Units (AHUs), in addition to its VDI6022-1 certification.

Eurovent HAHU certification is a complement to Eurovent's well-known and common certified performance scheme, which is considered the most established AHU certification worldwide. HAHU certification is easy to understand as it combines the requirements of multiple hygienic standards into one. This includes the requirements defined in VDI 6022-1, for general ventilation and lower demand for healthcare, the codes and standards DIN 1946-4 and HTM 03-01, commonly used in the UK.

Evgeny Gorelkov, head of the AHU product area at Systemair, said: "Eurovent's approach to hygienic units is generally appreciated as it creates a common frame of reference for consultants, planners and installers. This removes the burden of having to deal with a multitude of different patterns around the world. This challenging certification sets a new standard in the industry.

Our commitment to meet your strict requirements aligns with our mission to ensure that Geniox products are #HygienicByDesign. We believe that if we want to achieve an improved hygienic standard in our workplaces, schools, hotels, universities and the like, then we must raise the level of the standard air handling unit. With our Geniox range, higher indoor air quality is not only reserved for the healthcare sector."

Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC) also conducts independent audits annually as an accredited third party. This means that ECC auditors inspect each Geniox factory, ensuring that the factory and products meet the desired level of quality according to the requirements of the certification program. ECC also annually audits the selection software of certified manufacturers, in this case SystemairCAD, which ensures that the configured units actually meet the requirements defined in the HAHU certification.

The innovative 1-3 star rating of the Eurovent HAHU certification is also an important feature, as it adapts to the different hygiene requirements in various sectors in a simple way, which means that the higher the star rating, the more hygienic requirements the AHU meets.
