International. The Italian valve manufacturer, Fratelli Pettinaroli, shared through a statement its current situation as a result of COVID-19. The company announced the temporary suspension of its activities between March 18 and 24.
"Pettinaroli quickly began to protect the health of its employees, while ensuring regular sales and after-sales service. All our subsidiaries and distributors now have a larger security stock, to ensure continuity in the execution of orders in the coming weeks," the statement said.
Although the company had previously communicated that it would continue with its activities normally, it now explained that "despite the total commitment to adopt all possible security measures to provide environments and workstations, the civic sense and responsibility towards our employees and their families obliges us, however, to temporarily suspend production activities as a precaution, even if there have been no cases of contagion."
During the closing period, the company explained that the scheduled shipments will still be processed and that they will implement the total sanitation of the production plants, in accordance with the ministerial provisions.
