Cloud-based services will enable food retailers to reduce food loss and energy consumption and optimize overall store performance.
Danfoss Cooling Cloud Suite enables full transparency around the clock, allowing food retailers to focus on the core of their business. Cloud-based services increase operational efficiency by processing and analyzing data from refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and other assets. Data is securely managed and delivers valuable insights to the food retail store in easy-to-use user interfaces.
With Danfoss Cooling Cloud Suite, food retailers will be able to eliminate up to 80% of the time spent managing issues with store equipment as connected assets are monitored and analyzed, ensuring immediate action in the event of compressor failure, refrigerant leaks or other issues. They will also achieve a reduction of up to 40% in food loss, as the temperature is automatically controlled and alarms are sent to the store if temperature thresholds are above the limit. Finally, stores can realize total energy savings of more than 30% of net energy consumption through peak load chips and by reducing the energy consumption of lights, cooling, HVAC and other electrical appliances.
"The collaboration with Microsoft will bring tangible results to existing and new Danfoss and Microsoft customers. We will build on this collaboration and continue to invest in new cloud services for the industries we have successfully served for over 80 years with the ambition to reduce food waste and energy consumption," says Jürgen Fischer, President Danfoss Cooling.
