United States. On June 11, the ASHRAE Miami Chapter will hold a technical conference on "How UV-C Systems Can Reduce Energy, Maintenance Costs and Improve Indoor Air Quality," which will be presented by Lorrie Todd, Southern Regional Manager for UV Resources. She has been in a regional manager role in the UV business since 2004.
This presentation briefly describes what UV-C technology is and how it is produced. It refers to how UV-C has been used for nearly 100 years to destroy microorganisms on the surface and in the air. In addition, it will illustrate how UV-C is currently used to provide a "green", non-chemical method of removing dirt from surfaces without leaving residue. Simple methods used to validate your old systems will be provided and they will become almost new again. Suggestions will be made on how to take advantage of this increased performance to save energy.
Lorrie Todd is a member of ASHE and ASHRAE. She is involved in the Triangle ASHRAE chapter as Membership Chair for 3 years and is a member of the North Carolina Hospital Engineers Association (NCHEA).
This event will be held at the Brazaviva Steakhouse (7910 NW 25th St, Doral, FL 33122) starting at 12:00 m.
