The Climatización & Refrigeración 2019 Fair registered a new record of visitors

Spain. The Climatización y Refrigeración 2019 (C&R) fair held from February 26 to March 1, registered a new record by registering the attendance of 54,781 professionals from 88 countries, 9.7% more than in 2017.

The event brought together 374 direct exhibitors and 29,703 m2 of exhibition that have meant increases of 3% and 22.6%, respectively.

The results also highlight the growing weight of the international visit, which has increased by 20.7%, compared to 2017, and which has represented 11% of the attendance at this edition.  By country, the ones that have contributed the largest number of professionals have been Portugal, Italy, China, France, Germany and Morocco.

With regard to national visitors, after Madrid, which represented 33%, the attendance of professionals from all the Autonomous Communities has been especially relevant, which on this occasion has meant 56%, with a greater presence of visitors from Andalusia, Catalonia and Valencia, in this order.

According to the professional profile, the results show a high qualification, as revealed by the important presence of representatives of installation companies, 23.5%; maintenance and technical services professionals, 15.8%; engineering, 11.4%, as well as architecture companies, construction companies and real estate developers, with 9.9%.

C&R Forum and Workshops
As in each edition, the program of Technical Conferences, FORO C & R brought together numerous professionals around a scenario of analysis and debate of very topical issues, such as addressing the 4 plenary sessions on "The reality of Buildings of Almost Zero Energy Consumption"; "Relevant aspects around refrigerants"; "Update of the RITE by the Regulations of Ecodesign and by the requirements of the CTE",  and "Challenges and Opportunities of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration sector", to which more than  60 presentations on Regulations and Certification were added; Technological evolution; Systems; Refrigerants;  Air Quality;  Renewable Energy Applications; Combined Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Installations,  and Installation Success Stories

The TAC Workshop and the Refrigeration Workshop were also developed, activities aimed at promoting best practices in the field of installation, organized respectively by Agremia and AEFYT, the latter in collaboration with the Training Center in Cold and Air Conditioning Technologies of Moratalaz.

In addition, the C&R Innovation Gallery highlighted, on this occasion, 18 cutting-edge equipment and solutions, which offered an interesting panorama of the lines of research and progress in which companies in the sector work, with special emphasis on technological development, the optimization and control of the facilities, the design of the equipment, the new refrigerants, as well as the issues of comfort, the reduction of energy expenditure and the care of the environment.   

The entire registration fee provided by the companies participating in the Innovation Gallery has been allocated to the NGOs Spanish Red Cross and the Doctors Without Borders Association Spain

C&R 2019 was held in coincidence with Genera, International Energy and Environment Fair; Tecnova Piscinas, Technology and Innovation Fair for the Pool, and SIGA, Fair of Innovative Solutions for Water Management, a set of rooms especially oriented to the wide group of professionals with an interest in technological innovation, energy efficiency and the environment.
