Mexico. Danfoss' Mobile CO2 Training Unit project continued with its 2018 World Tour in Mexico, where it showed how CO2 solutions for refrigeration are put into practice.
"The technology for CO2 is available now and continues to evolve," says Diego Buscaglia, Food Retail Manager for Mexico. "Part of our mission with the Mobile CO2 unit is to provide both end users and manufacturers and contractors with a knowledge platform and provide the necessary tools on new CO2 technologies that allow them to take advantage of the full potential that this natural refrigerant can have."
The CO2 Unit was very well received since its arrival on August 20, when training with Danfoss customers began and was until September 28, totaling 230 trained people among which technicians and engineers from both manufacturers, contractors and end users stand out. The tour will continue after that date in Mexico City and will be presented during the AHR Expo 2018 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Exhibition from October 2 to 4. Danfoss will have continuous presentations for all exhibition attendees during the 3 days that the unit will be exhibited within the Expo. Then he will continue his way to the United States of America where he will finish his tour this year visiting the cities of Dallas, Atlanta and Baltimore.
The Mobile CO2 Unit has 3 modes of operation in which the Basic System of a transcritical CO2 Cooling System with Booster is shown; the Transcritical System with Booster+Parallel until reaching the application with Multi-Ejector. Customers can be trained in the design, selection and use of the control equipment of these 3 applications. In addition, our training team presents the winning product of the Innovation Award of the AHR Expo in the United States, the Controller + Multi Ejector solution, which is one of the most recent innovations that allows CO2 systems to be taken one step ahead, improving energy savings of up to 30% and allowing transcritical CO2 systems to operate in a viable way in hot climates, which was not possible before.
In addition to face-to-face and interactive training, Danfoss provides free online CO2 training through its Learning.Danfoss.com platform. Today 3 lessons are available electronically:
• CO₂ Module 1 - Introduction
• CO₂ Module 2 – System Understanding
• CO₂ Phase Change
Danfoss has pioneered CO2 technologies for both subcritical and transcritical systems for more than a decade, and has accumulated experience in thousands of installations on 6 continents. These facilities have proven that CO2 can be applied in refrigeration plants in supermarkets and distribution centers, enabling environmentally friendly and energy-saving systems for all types of stores.
