Mexico. Ruskin, a company specializing in air control, announced that it recently expanded its manufacturing plant in Juarez, Mexico with an addition of 100,000 square feet to the existing facility. The new space, which opened in May, supports the production of dampers and blinds and includes assembly lines, a manufacturing stamping area and other amenities. It also features state-of-the-art painting and anodizing processes.
The expanded floor space consolidates Ruskin's operations in Mexico into a single facility, allowing the plant to focus on product quality and delivery, seamlessly integrate all business units, and advance Ruskin's expertise in the production of gates and grids.
"This expansion allows Ruskin to optimize its manufacturing processes and better serve our customers," said Paul Griffen, Ruskin's director of supply chain. "The consolidation of our operations in Mexico will make us more productive, efficient and profitable, helping the company deliver high-quality products to our customers on time."
New in the expanded space will be the production of the CD35, FSD35 and FSD60 smoke control and extinguishing line, Ruskin's flagship product line that is produced at three other facilities of the brand. Products manufactured at the original plant now manufactured in the expanded space include CFD7 ceiling fire dampers, CDR25/FSDR25 commercial/smoke round dampers, access doors, and counterflow dampers, including BD2A2, CBD4, and CBD6. Blinds and reliable architectural products such as AELs will continue to be produced at the original Juarez facility, in addition to Ruskin's plant in Geneva, Alabama.
