Brazil. Thermo King reorganized its regional structure to expand participation throughout Latin America. Based on these changes, the company promoted in the city of Vinhedo (SP), the regional Thermo King Annual Services Conference and updated the network on the introduction of the new refrigerant R-452 (Opteon XP44) in the brand's portfolio for the entire region.
Opteon XP44 (R-452A), a mixture of R-32, R-125 and R-1234yf, has 51% less global warming potential (GWP) and is based on hydrofluorolefin (HFO). The use of this refrigerant gas allows refrigeration units to be more environmentally friendly, while maintaining the same performance and reliability.
The event, which is held annually, was attended by workshop managers and technical managers from the entire network of Thermo King accredited dealers in Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.
Rodrigo Braga Beal, Thermo King's Services Manager for Latin America, says that the main objective of this edition is to integrate the entire network and strengthen the provision of excellent services to customers throughout South America. "We want to create a synergy between teams across the region. Some of our clients cross borders, for example. Some come from Argentina to Brazil and others go from here to Chile. We want all our representatives to offer a standardized and personalized treatment," Emphasizes Beal.
In addition to integration, the conference is an opportunity to update various technical topics and improve customer service from the point of view of services, such as novelties in the application of refrigeration in trucks, carts and VUC ("Small Truck" or small trucks), the challenges for the market in Brazil and Latin America, as well as multi-temperature equipment, solar panel, warranty contracts, excellence in service, after-sales, among others.
"During the two days of the event it was possible to exchange information and share experiences that favored the improvement of the quality of services. There are many good practices that are carried out inside and outside Brazil and our idea is that the network itself takes advantage of the best processes of each of those countries and applies in the different markets to ensure customer satisfaction, "believes Vinilton Souza, Service Manager of Thermo King.
Thermo King was the first manufacturer to introduce R-452A refrigerant as a factory-installed option on all unit types as of January 2015. Currently, 100% of the equipment manufactured in Europe uses the refrigerant gas R-452A.
