Danfoss Acquires Wireless Remote Control Technology Company

International. Danfoss announced an agreement to acquire the remote control business of the Spanish company Ikusi, a company specialized in the field of telecommunications networks and wireless remote controls, which includes equipment and technologies for the operation and wireless control of truck-mounted cranes, winches, off-road machines and other applications.

With this acquisition, Danfoss reflects a strategic focus on utilizing connectivity as a competitive advantage.

Ikusi Remote Control is a major innovation company with state-of-the-art technology, has a growing customer base and a clear focus on operator safety and comfort, as well as simple configuration and service. The remote control business will be integrated into the danfoss Power Solutions business segment.

Iñaki Maiz, Managing Director of Ikusi, said that "for our remote control business unit to become a business within Danfoss will allow greater specialization, more capacity and synergies for greater innovation and market opportunities." The acquisition includes a development and manufacturing site in Spain and sales offices in the United States, Germany and Dubai.
