Building Performance Management Platform Updated

International. A new and improved version of ARC, an easily accessible digital platform for managing the performance of existing buildings by linking metrics with the implementation of sustainability strategies in operation, is now available.

It is now possible to upload project information in units of the international system and the way carbon is calculated by energy consumption has been modified.

Projects that have achieved LEED certification have free access to this tool by entering the arcskoru.com platform.

The following are the assessment categories that are measured in ARC:

Water
The projects report the efficient use of water based on actual consumption (gallons, cubic meters) and is reflected in a score between 0 – 100.

The greater the reduction in drinking water consumption, the higher the score. If the building achieves 100 points in this category, it means that it does not use drinking water for the different uses during its operation. The water that is retained on site, is consolidated as an important alternative source to reduce the consumption of the drinking source and can be accounted for in ARC, which translates directly into a better evaluation. This and other strategies make it possible to reduce the impact of the built environment on the hydrological cycle, recharge aquifers and minimize the impacts of runoff.

Energy
In this platform, the energy performance of the building is reflected in the reduction of carbon equivalent emissions (CO2e) associated with energy consumption. A building with a higher score indicates lower carbon emissions. The building can include the different sources of energy, electricity, gas, steam and other sources of fuel. If the 100 points are reached, it means that the building is net zero carbon for energy use, so Arc is a solution that allows measuring the impact and taking action on the leaders who focus on the global net zero carbon trend.

The power of data
Arc's results help understand the use and impact of resources during the operation phase of real estate developments, so project teams have more insight into performance and design and operational decisions. The versatility of the platform allows projects to be compared locally, regionally and globally.

It fosters transparency, identifies the highest returns, and reveals opportunities for improvement in systems. Arc provides a clear way to demonstrate progress on sustainability indicators to stakeholders.
