Colombia. Due to the growing interest in the promotion or execution of energy efficiency projects, Bogotá will host the II Professional Certification course in Measurement and Verification of Energy Performance (CMVP) to be held from May 24 to 27, and which is organized by the Colombian Council of Energy Efficiency.
The application of the best practices in measurement and verification (M&V) contemplated in the International Protocol for the Measurement and Verification of Energy Performance (IPMVP) are fundamental for the development of the Energy Efficiency market since they allow: establish the baseline, standardize and reach agreements on how to measure and evaluate the savings achieved when implementing energy saving projects.
The application of this methodology will improve the levels of trust between the parties and reduce the perception of risk. In particular, it will allow financial institutions and investors to improve their perspective towards energy efficiency projects so that they are seen as low risk or controlled risk.
The course and certification exam will be conducted in Spanish and will be guided by international instructors authorized by EVO.
The course and exam are based on the IPMVP document so it is useful to review them before the course. You can register and download the document on the EVO website.
