International. Johnson Controls introduces Verasys, a plug-and-play control system that integrates heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and controls.
Verasys offers customers in the light commercial market a flexible, single-source sourcing solution with advanced technology already built in for Smart Equipment self-discovery. Suitable for single- or multi-zone applications, the new control system connects to a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment, controls and sensors using wireless settings resulting in cost savings. Verasys achieves this without the need for special programming tools, ensuring low installation costs.
Configurable drivers provide simple settings for deployment, but contractors have the option to change defaults to meet their unique requirements. This technology also gives them the ability to offer a complete solution of intelligent equipment and controls that work with third-party package equipment for greater application, flexibility and protection of existing investments. And because the system communicates with BACnet MSTP, Verasys integrates with Metasys or any other third-party BACnet system. Contractors will also appreciate the equipment's new service opportunities, thanks to fault detection and optional diagnostics that immediately deliver alarm notifications via email or text.
For building operators, Verasys provides remote access anytime, anywhere, through a secure Internet connection via PCs, smartphones and tablets. The control system connects users with data streams from smart controls in ceiling units, fans, zone dampers, heat pumps, cooling systems, lighting panels and more. With real-time data, building operators can remotely identify and troubleshoot problems and leverage insightful solutions that deliver the quality and value their facilities require.
