Costa Rica. A range of pre-insulated pipe technologies are being developed by the Costa Rican company Tupreco S.A. for the Central American market. The company has developed the technology to isolate pipes that are welded or made with thread, as well as PVC, using polyurethane as an insulator.
This solution keeps the polyurethane at the optimum density for its best efficiency as an insulator, in addition a protective jacket of the product with anti-UV and impact-resistant additives is offered.
This technology is aimed at the sectors of ice water, hot water, ammonia cooling and variable volume of refrigerant and have been installed in sectors such as Hospitals, Hotels, Financial Institutions, Production Plants, Residences, Universities, Supermarkets, Laboratories, Data Centers.
Our products have been used in Guatemala and Panama, as well as in Costa Rica. Our engineering department is dedicated to finding solutions, so we also have reeds for refrigeration, shells for replacement of insulation on site and for supports. We are part of a business group with more than 40 years in the construction sector, which has taken advantage of Costa Rica's strategic position to produce and distribute a high-performance product in Central America, Panama and the Caribbean Islands." said Ricardo Vargas, manager of the company.
