Euromonitor, a london-based global market research company, officially launched the global air conditioners (including smart air conditioners) data report, in which it was highlighted that the sales volume of connected air conditioners globally, including smart air conditioners, reached its highest level in 2016.
The compound annual growth rate of connected air conditioners (including smart ones) from 2013 to 2016 registered 62%. The sales volume of this kind of equipment in China represented 73% of that total, making this country the largest market for this technology in the world.
Manufacturer Haier was recognized as the number one brand of connected air conditioners in the world, with a market share of 23.6% in terms of sales volume in 2016. Euromonitor conducted this survey in 46 countries and regions, with the participation of 30 brands worldwide.
The report foresees that the air conditioning market (including smart air conditioner) will continue to expand, with the Chinese market having great development potential in the future.
In 2016, Haier's connected air conditioners were exported to 32 countries and regions, including the United States, Italy, France, Russia and India.
