Brazil. It was confirmed that the collaboration project between Abrava (Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating), and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), is renovated and enters its sixth phase that extends until 2017.
The objective of the Abrava Exporta Program is to stimulate the export business of the HVAC/R sector through trade promotion activities that support its integration into the international market and the provision of commercial information and competitive intelligence. In 2014, the participating companies exported about US$321 million, the goal for 2015 is to increase revenues by 11%.
According to the technical manager of the Abrava Exporta Program, Leila Vasconcelos (pictured), "Brazilian companies in the HVAC-R sector have the great opportunity to introduce their products to the international market, since they have export as a strategy and are willing to participate in the actions of the program that provide visibility and allow finding new business partners for future business."
The Abrava Exporta Program is carried out by Abrava, an organization that had a turnover of US$16.3 million in 2014 and the expectation for 2015 is around US$17.03 million; however, due to Brazil's economic situation this expectation may still change.
