United States. New topics for the technical program, more than 200 hours of professional development opportunities and the world's largest Hvac/R market are some of the highlights of the 2016 ASHRAE Winter Conference and the AHR Expo to be held in Orlando, Florida.
The two events are expected to attract thousands of industry professionals from around the world. The ASHRAE Conference will take place January 23-27, at the Orlando Hilton, while the AHR Expro co-sponsored by ASHREA will be held January 25-27 at the Orange County Convention Center. The two places are located next to each other.
"As an ASHRAE member for over 40 years, I look forward to all aspects of the Winter Conference – sharing ideas with attendees, visiting the Expo to see the latest solutions to engineering challenges and attending courses and sessions," said President David Underwood. "There is no better place than the ASHRAE conference and the AHR Expo to make the contacts (making the connections) that ensure a sustainable future, both for the industry and for me."
In keeping with ASHRAE's goal of continuing education, some 200 hours of professional development have been recognized by most U.S. states. In the U.S., credits for AIA LU and Leed AP can be earned through ASHRAE Learning Institute courses and Technical Program sessions. ASHRAE Learning Institute conferences and professional development hours are accepted by the State of Florida for license renewal of engineering professionals.
