Chile. Danfoss announced its link as a new partner of the National Association of Energy Efficiency Companies of Chile (Anesco) with which it seeks to cooperate and disseminate more about the energy efficiency opportunities of industries through its technologies and the contribution to the development and sustainability of the world and the environment.
The company considers this fact of great importance, since its goal is to achieve the objectives by minimizing the consumption of raw materials and energy, the environmental impact and optimizing the use of resources.
Currently, in Chile, Danfoss has 23 specialized professionals and technicians. The company has carried out around 30 projects in this country, and they have been increasing due to the good results obtained. One of these projects is the centralized control in the industry which through the automation and centralization of a single control of lighting, air conditioning and refrigeration, is able to save up to 500,000 kWh per year, which in monetary terms are around 35 thousand USD per year in a single installation.
Likewise, the development of his own monitoring service established on a platform called EDS (Electronically Delivered Services) Jorge Callejas, in charge of energy projects at Danfoss, commented for the ANESCO website that in Chile there is a great opportunity to reduce a huge amount of energy consumption in the Area of Food Retail, which could generate savings of around 240,000 kWh on average per year.
