Peru. The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru announced that until next June it will receive contributions to the technical regulation on the energy efficiency labeling that appliances will receive.
While this process is being completed, the Government is already conducting awareness workshops to publicize the regulations and the use of the label that aims to qualify the performance of equipment such as air conditioners, industrial boilers, ballasts, refrigerators, heaters, water, among others.
Iris Cárdenas, general director of Energy Efficiency, indicated that through the General Directorate of Energy Efficiency (DGEE) "in these decentralized forums it will be explained what the energy efficiency label is and what it is for, and will be guided on the reading of the different ranges of the label, ranging from "A" to "G" in the products that have already been mentioned. "
The label seeks to give users much more information about the devices they require to make a better choice.
