Germany. The manufacturer of fans and motors, Ziehl-Abegg, reported its 2014 results in which it presented an increase in global sales of 9% to 423 million euros during the year in question.
While business in Germany increased slightly from the previous year, foreign companies generated significant growth, allowing the company to move further with investments of more than 20 million euros in the expansion of its production facilities.
The company's CEO, Peter Fenkl, said: "We have reaped the rewards of our professional approach towards the internationalisation of our business, as with only a few exceptions, foreign companies reported double-digit growth rates."
Positive growth is also reflected in the size of the workforce. CFO Achim Curd Rägle said: "For the first time we employ more than 3,400 people worldwide. That's why we've reorganized our trial program in continuing education to create the Ziehl-Abegg-Academy."
