Brazil. The president of the Brazilian Association of Southern Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation (Asbrav), Luiz Afonso Dias, explained that in addition to the fact that the Brazilian economy is enabling the growth of investments in recent years, the preparation for the 2014 World Cup helped 2013 to have a growth in sales of 7%.
"The year has been very good for the industry and we believe there is a trend of improvement in the coming years. We are seeing a lot of novelties coming out that promote development. In a tropical country like ours, you don't design a project without thinking about air conditioning," said the executive.
For his part, the president of the Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating (Abrava), Wadi Thaddeus Neaime, said that sales growth in the sector are taking place throughout the country. Neaime stressed that the HVAC and refrigeration sector must remain optimistic for the future.
"This year was very positive because we had investments in infrastructure and adaptation of refrigeration systems thinking about the World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games. We had strong growth beyond GDP and we have to be optimistic about the future, as demand is very high in all states of the country," Neaime said.
The appreciations were delivered during the "Nochel del Clima", an event promoted by Asbrav.
