Argentina. The Argentine Cold Association offers the opportunity to obtain a Certificate of Installer and Operator of Commercial Refrigeration Systems.
The exam for all members of the HVAC industry will be held on May 20 starting at 4:00 p.m. (local time). Those who register for this course will have study material and a support class (optional), which will be held on the 13th of the same month.
The following are the topics covered in the certificate: Basic concepts of refrigeration, Types of lubricants and oils (application), Good installation practices, welding, circuit cleaning, vacuum; Pipe design, double uprights; Selection and Installation of condensers and evaporators; Compressors: types, selection, installation; Selection and installation of system components: valves, filters, protections; Electronic controls, types, applications; Installation and operation of refrigeration plants; Selection of insulations: types and application; and Electrical installations.
