Chile. Between January and November 2012, the southern country recorded imports of US$45.3 million worth of fans and air conditioners for non-industrial use.
The figures provided by Portal Comex of the Chamber of Commerce of Santiago (CCS) indicate that this increase is 24% higher compared to the same period of 2011, when imports obtained figures for US $ 36.4 million.
The commercialization of the products in question has equitable values in Chile, since of the total imported, air conditioners represent 52%, for US $ 23.4 million, while fans contribute the remaining 48%, for US $ 22 million.
China is the main supplier of these segments, registering sales of US$29.4 million, equivalent to 65% of the total market; Korea and the United States each contribute 7% of the total, followed by Spain.
