Argentina. The councilor of the Authentic Socialist Party (PSA) of the city of Rosario, Alberto Cortés, proposed an initiative that seeks to regulate air conditioning systems so that they work at a temperature of 25 ° C during the summer that is approaching in that country.
As reported by the newspaper Rosario3, Cortés asked for sanctions for those who fail to comply with the proposal that aims to avoid electrical collapses: "The thermostats of the air conditioning equipment of all municipal public offices, autarchic or decentralized entities and companies of the Municipal State must be regulated at temperatures that in no case are below 25 degrees."
The measure does not cover environments such as health, which need to regulate the temperature for health reasons, or others where spaces require lower temperatures.
Cortés recommends that during the summer, air conditioner users keep the windows open at night, if it is safe, to achieve greater thermal comfort and use less equipment.
