Finalist project for the CALA Awards 2023 for best HVAC/R installation in Latin America.

In September 2022, the project of the Luis Carlos Sarmiento Angulo Cancer Treatment and Research Center (CTIC) in the city of Bogotá concluded. The company Dismec participated as a contractor. This project was also a finalist in the CALA Awards 2023 for best HVAC/R installation in Latin America.



Detailed description of the project
➢ Three Multipurpose Chillers with cooling capacity of 432 tons of cooling and heating capacity of 6,216,234 BTU/hr.
➢ Three chillers with cooling capacity of 186 tons of refrigeration.
➢ 39 cold water handling units, totaling 273,420 CFM's.
➢ 34 cold water Fan Coil type equipment, adding up to a total of 67,760 CFM's.
➢ 95 mechanical ventilation units totaling 869,900 CFM's that serve the floors of the building.
➢ 74 Jet Fan type equipment, adding up to a total of 401,292 CFM's for basements.
➢ Control and monitoring system of all HVAC system equipment and accessories.

Parameters applied in the project
Management in engineering, sustainability, energy performance, project with future projection.



Implementing the Parameters
Coordination and monitoring of the project through BIM technology (Revit), LEED GOLD certified project, use of high-efficiency equipment according to ASHRAE 90.1, and implementation of a centralized control system, several more stages planned within this complex in the future.
