Colombia. TecnoEdificios 2012, congress for the operation of modern buildings, will make guided tours for its attendees to some of the most important buildings in the city of Medellín.
One of them will be the medical complex Specialized Centers of San Vicente Foundation, a building located east of the department of Antioquia, in the municipality of Rionegro, on the outskirts of the city hosting the congress. During the tour attendees will have the opportunity to see details of its construction, the technologies used to optimize its operation and the systems installed to achieve LEED certification. The installation is a space equipped with state-of-the-art technology and has systems such as windows that allow the passage of sunlight, sensors to control the expenditure of electrical energy, solar panels that will provide 35% of the energy consumed by the hospital, among others. The visit will take place on November 7 and can be accessed by those people previously registered in the academic program of TecnoEdificios.
