Colombia. With the aim of establishing and measuring the will, opportunity and relevance of forming the Asociación de Gestores de Edificios Modernos (AGEM), a group of professionals, experts and employees from areas related to the administration and management of this type of establishments will meet for the first time in Medellín, Colombia.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at the headquarters of the publishing house Latin Press, Inc., at 12:30 m., and will convene both administrators and maintenance managers, as well as the staff in charge of the issues of air conditioning, refrigeration, hydraulic systems, elevators, moving stairs, audiovisual systems, security, fire and maintenance and cleaning supplies in the different buildings. According to Max Jaramillo, president of the publishing house and initiator of this process "the idea was born in the TecnoEdificios Congress, where, despite the success obtained, we had many difficulties to gather a significant number of professionals in this industry". There the lack of community among the managers of the large existing properties in Latin America was evident. Therefore, says Jaramillo, the proposal is that initially a lot of volunteer work is done by the actors of the sector: managers, suppliers and media. If this initiative materializes, the initial objective would be to seek and group those who want to work for this industry and, subsequently, improve the opportunities for training, training and professional specialization for building managers. Taking into account its recent creation, the direction of this proposal extends an invitation to interested people to, by providing their knowledge and experiences, integrate this new initiative, which will open professional horizons with the help of the implementation of technological innovations and the generation of a network of contacts. Attending the meeting has no cost and you will have a restricted entry of 10 managers with prior registration. Click here to register.
