Colombia. The International Refrigeration Institute (IIR), based in Paris (France), has announced its strong support for RefriAméricas 2012, the academic congress specialized in industrial and commercial refrigeration, which will be held in Medellín between June 20 and 22, 2012.
This new alliance shows the consolidation of the Congress as a space for professionalization, a window for discussion and decision on the issues that set the tone in the refrigeration industry in Latin America.
The IIR is an independent, scientifically and technologically based intergovernmental organization that promotes knowledge of refrigeration technologies to improve people's quality of life, seek the cost-benefit balance of systems and focuses on environmental sustainability.
Currently , 60 countries are an active part of the Institute, of which two are from Latin America: Argentina and Cuba. Professionals from the member countries participate dynamically in the activities generated by the IIR in the different cities of its incidence.
These activities open up possibilities for networking, solving specific knowledge and information needs, connecting and permanently communicating with other professionals and market organisations and offering the opportunity to contact decision-makers. in the refrigeration industry in the global context.
