SEMCO introduces the Unitary Wheel Casette (UWC) series of aluminum-decant, sensitive and latent energy recovery wheels designed and packaged as a first drop in the HVAC industry's replacement for polymer desiccant wheels.

It measures as follows: 3-3/4-inch wide (100-mm); the wheel handles fast action, corrosion resistance and patented desiccant that applies to robustness, but at the same time is light in weight.

The ribbed 'honeycomb' matrix opens up an efficient design that produces maximum air-to-air latency and sensitivity in heat transfer; generates up to 50 percent less static pressure from the HVAC system than polymer film wheels.

The UWC series helps buildings pass ASHRAE 90.1. Aluminum wheels also have longer life cycles and maintenance requirements are lower than polymer wheels and can withstand temperatures up to 180°F.
